Grilled
Corn on the Cob
I have a variety of rubs and seasoning
mixtures for corn on the cob. I love fresh corn on the cob during
the summer because it tastes delicious and you can get quite alot of it
for a picnic or dinner for very little money. Currently you can buy a
dozen ears for $1.89 here at my local market.
Always soak
your corn in a large tub, bucket, or sink of water for at least an
hour. Soaking the corn prevents the husks from burning to quickly or
catching on fire. Unless otherwise directed, peel the husk back from
the corn (leaving it attached at the end like a bananna). Remove the
corn silk and place in the garbage. Do NOT try to put corn silk down
the drain or in the diposal or you will have big problems and a large
plumbing bill. Apply seasoning or butter mixture to corn, fold the
husk back up. Place corn on the top rack of a medium high grill and
grill around 20 minutes (turning occasionally) or until done.
